Fuel Manager can save $$$ thousands!! Here’s the evidence…
Kraig Clanfield had a Diesel Care primary Fuel Manager Filter Kit installed at Diesel Care Toowoomba. He was planning an outback trip & thought it might be a good investment. Little did he know just how good.
Shortly after filling his Nissan Patrol’s long range fuel tank in Tennant Creek he departed for Camooweal, a 470 km journey. Only 20 kms into the journey the vehicle lost power & eventually stopped. On investigation Kraig found the Fuel Manager was completely blocked with a gritty sand like substance. Luckily, he had 5 spare filter cartridges for his Fuel Manager on board so was able to change the filter, prime the system & continue the journey.
More blockages & subsequent filter changes continued until he reached The Barkley Homestead Roadhouse where he had no choice but to drain his tank completely. With a fresh tank of fuel he continued on to Camooweal, there he sought out the local RACQ agent & proceeded to thoroughly clean & flush the Nissan’s tank and lines, then do a complete filter change.
The RACQ agent told him that he faired much better than the last Nissan Patrol to come to him with fuel contamination just one week before Kraig. He said that vehicle had to be towed & the repair cost was $18,000-00. Though Kraig still feels annoyed with the fuel outlet at Tennant Creek, & about loosing all that fuel at Barkley Homestead, he thinks his Fuel Manager was a really good investment to make. He figures it’s paid for itself about 60 times over.
