Diesel Care is currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our Dalby workshop.

The Role

As a Diesel Mechanic at Diesel Care Dalby, you will work across a range of diesel vehicles and systems including fuel injection, diagnostics and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

Service and Repair
Carry out servicing and repairs on a wide range of diesel vehicles to ensure reliable performance and safe operation.

Fuel System Diagnostics
Diagnose and repair diesel fuel injection systems including pumps, injectors and associated components.

Routine Maintenance
Complete scheduled servicing including oil changes, filter replacements and system inspections.

Diagnostics
Use modern diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve mechanical and electronic faults.

Performance Testing
Operate dynamometers to assess vehicle performance and make adjustments to improve engine efficiency and capability.

Workshop Documentation
Maintain accurate service records including work completed and parts used.

Team Collaboration
Work closely with workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction.

Workshop Standards
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.


About You

The ideal applicant will:

• Be a qualified automotive mechanic
• Have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Possess sound knowledge of automotive systems and basic auto electrical principles
• Be willing to learn and develop new skills
• Work well within a team environment
• Take pride in their work and maintain attention to detail
• Be reliable, punctual and professional


Qualifications

Applicants must have one of the following:

AQF Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology including at least two years of on-the-job training
AQF Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
Minimum three years of relevant industry experience


Desirable

• Current Driver Licence
• Forklift Licence
