The project to build a new home for the Dalby Branch underwent some major developments in 2013 with the move to a new building just down the road from the old location. Diesel Care Dalby, who’s original roots go back to 1947 under the trading name of Cramer’s Engineering, had operated from its old location at 9 Loudoun Road since 1988.

By April 2014 Diesel Care Dalby officially celebrated the opening of its new home just down the road from its old location to 89 Loudoun Road. Over 150 people attended the event including locals, interstate and overseas travellers, even Herbert Steinbauer from Steinbauer Tuning Technologies flew from Austria to be there. All enjoyed the evening with a BBQ dinner, refreshments and a grand tour of the building.

THE BEGINNINGS AND BACKGROUND

Since 1947 Diesel Care Dalby who was trading under the name of Cramer Engineering, has expanded over the years to combine a wealth of knowledge, expertise and greater efficiencies.

The success of merging to create branches in Goondiwindi, Tamworth and Toowoomba has led us to become one of Australia’s leading diesel injection specialists.

The Dalby branch is the central administration hub and Steinbauer distributor for Diesel Care and has been operating from its previous location at 9 Loudoun Road since 1988. The building was purpose built for the business and was state of the art at that time.

As the years progressed so did the business. The internal layout went through a number of changes to better accommodate growth and purpose and the front appearance changed also.

In 2002, a vehicle workshop and mezzanine storage was added, effectively doubling the building area. At last there was room to move and to grow well into the future… or at least that’s what was thought. The progress continued; the business continued to grow and diversify, the administration office previously housed off site moved in, and yet more high tech equipment in the form of a new Dynamometer was added. Once again, we found ourselves short of space.

As a result of this growth, Diesel Care Dalby embarked on a project to build a new home for the Dalby branch. The new building is now big enough to accommodate a larger workforce, as well as growth in all respects.
