How It All Began
The partnership between Diesel Care and STEINBAUER started in 2004 when Diesel Care sought a diesel-only tuning solution that could meet the unique demands of Australian conditions. At the 2004 Automechanika Trade Exhibition in Germany, Diesel Care discovered STEINBAUER’s innovative approach to diesel tuning. In February 2005, this collaboration became official, with Diesel Care becoming the exclusive distributor of STEINBAUER products in Australia and New Zealand.
However, STEINBAUER's story began earlier, in 1996, when the company started as G & S, then evolved into Smartech and later PBox Austria. By 2005, the company was rebranded as STEINBAUER Tuning Technologies and is now STEINBAUER Engineering as they branch into EV technology, solidifying its identity as a leader in diesel performance tuning. These humble beginnings laid the foundation for what would become a globally recognised name in the industry.

A year later in 2015, STEINBAUER established a state-of-the-art headquarters in Austria, where every step of development, production and distribution is conducted in-house. Stringent quality control measures and advanced production machinery ensure their products are built to the highest standards.
