Our DIESEL CARE TAMWORTH branch currently has a position available for a 1st Year Apprentice who is looking for a strong, stable career in the industry to join our team.
The role will be full time, Monday to Friday with a minimum 38 hours worked.
Diesel Care is an industry leader in diesel fuel injection, turbo charger servicing, diesel performance and 4WD dyno tuning. We have three branches in regional Queensland and one in New South Wales.
We are looking for someone who…
- Has, or will soon successfully complete high school with sound achievement
- Is passionate about mechanics and have mechanical aptitude
- Is keen to learn and can work in a productive team environment
- Is willing to follow directions and able to complete tasks with attention to detail
- Can communicate effectively, and has good literacy and numeracy skills
- Is willing to complete on the job training as well as TAFE placement
- Is reliable, punctual, honest and well presented
- Is willing to remain as an employee with Diesel Care for a period of time following the completion of trade qualifications.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Diagnostic procedures of diesel engines and electronic management systems
- On vehicle mechanical work, including routine servicing
- Diesel Fuel Injection equipment repair and calibration.
- Diesel performance upgrades
- Dynamometer operation
The successful applicant will receive sound and thorough training from a recognised industry leader and highly experienced Technicians as trainers and mentors. With the right attributes this person will emerge with trade qualifications and a high degree of ability and competency.
